Holy House / Covenant

A 3 track house ep (16m 32s) — released September 3rd 2012 on Bodywork Music

Following on from acclaimed remixes for the likes of We Have Band and Firas, Brighton's Aashton & Swift now release their first original material on Body Work (home to Waze & Odyssey and LPZ). Making their debut with two tracks of percussion heavy disco tinged house music, aimed at both body & soul.

Kicking things off with 'Holy House', drums, piano and bass all come together with a vocal that quietly commands you to 'Step Into My House', all building up to one of the most joyous breakdowns you'll hear this year and destined to be heard wherever sunshine, people and music come together this summer (so possibly not in the UK…).

If 'Holy House' is for sunrises then 'Covenant' will almost certainly do the job come sunset, pitched down vocals, a taut acidic baseline and more massive drums, make this one for epiphanies amidst the smoke and lasers of the dancefloor.

Completing the package is a remix of 'Holy House' from Tronik Youth. With remix credits for artists ranging from The Gossip and My Tiger My Timing, to Headman and Mighty Mouse, TY is one of London's most in demand remixers and his bleeps and beeps filled rework goes to show just why, he's on every clued up A&R's speed dial.

Since it's launch in February 2012 Body Work has quickly established itself as one of the most exciting new labels around with releases from artists such as CSY & Stripes, LPZ, Waze & Odyssey and Firas all finding their way into the boxes of some of the biggest DJs around.
